Moroccan national team star Hakim Ziyech has decided to leave Galatasaray due to disputes with the club's management and coach. Ziyech joined Galatasaray on loan in 2023, with the move becoming permanent in July 2024. UAE's Al-Nasr has finalized an agreement with Ziyech for an official transfer during the ongoing winter window.

The player is set to undergo a medical examination upon his arrival in Dubai today or tomorrow. The agreement followed negotiations involving Al-Nasr, Ziyech, and his club, amid competition from European and Gulf teams. Ziyech's transfer, a free deal, will see him replace his compatriot Adel Taarabt, who recently joined Sharjah. Dutch coach Alfred Schreuder's presence at Al-Nasr facilitated the transfer, given his friendship with Ziyech from their time at FC Twente between 2014 and 2015.

In the current season, Ziyech has played 11 games, but his performance was affected by injuries, causing him to miss many matches. However, the move to Al-Nasr provides him with a fresh start under familiar guidance, boosting possibilities of a successful stint at the UAE club.
