The Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship will feature athletes from various age groups competing this weekend at Al Nasr Club in Dubai.

The competitions within the framework of the second stage of the Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship bring together athletes from various clubs and academies from across the country. On the first day of the competitions, athletes participate in age categories up to 12 years, up to 14 years, and up to 16 years. On the following day, representatives of the Youth, Adults, and Masters categories demonstrate their level, ensuring a high level of competition and affirming the championship's status as a platform for both young and experienced athletes.

"The championship develops talents at technical, physical, and mental levels, creating a pathway for future champions. It also emphasizes the importance of engaging in sports for a healthy lifestyle, strengthening its position as one of the most notable sports and social events in the country." - highlighted His Excellency Mohammed Salem Al-Dhaheri, the first vice president of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation.

The Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship is one of the most prestigious local competitions in the UAE. The participation of younger age group athletes has become one of the key principles of the championship, demonstrating the success of the Federation's strategy for opening up and developing a new generation of talents and future champions.

"The championship attracts athletes and their families, creating a supportive atmosphere that strengthens communication in society and reflects valuable societal principles for which Jiu-Jitsu is known, such as respect, loyalty, and team spirit."

The second stage of the Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed championship will take place on these weekends - February 8 and 9 at the Al Nasr Club in Dubai. The competitions will be held in No-Gi disciplines. It is noteworthy that competitions in No-Gi style allow athletes to experiment with innovative strategies and techniques, which additionally develops their ability to adapt to various challenges in this type of sport.

"The growing interest in No-Gi competitions reflects the sustainable development of the sport and the increasing interest in it at all levels.
