
Today, the 12th annual "Nadaa Shaba Sports Games" will kick off, initiated and supported by the great Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Vice-President of the Government, and Minister of Sports Affairs. These games are held every year during the blessed month of Ramadan at the Nadha Shaba Sports Complex under the slogan "Unlimited Abilities." The event is expected to feature over 7,000 athletes from various age categories and levels of physical fitness competing in 11 sports.
Amin, the General Secretary of the Dubai Sports Council and President of the Organizing Committee, stated that "The Nadah Shaba Sports Games have become one of the most significant public-sports events thanks to the support and direction of the great Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum." Harib emphasized that the aim of the event is to develop the sporting talents of local athletes through participation in competitions against some of the strongest athletes in these games.
The competitions include 11 types of sports, among which are Olympic and public disciplines. The sporting games have already become a tradition, attracting attention from both local residents and athletes from different countries who come to Dubai every Ramadan to participate in these unique competitions, where everyone has the opportunity to compete, compete, and meet with other participants for victory in competitions and prize funds. Various cultural events are also held during the games.
The current decade at the sports arena will be filled with various events, including tennis tournaments, fencing, jiu-jitsu, obstacle courses, running, archery, cycling, training with hurdles, basketball on wheelchair, volleyball, and other types of sports. The registration period has been extended to give athletes and sportsmen from different countries the opportunity to participate in the games.
