The Gantoot football team became the winner of the second international polo tournament Gantoot, which concluded at the Sultan bin Zayed Stadium in the Gantoot club. The team secured victory over the Habtoor team with a score of 7-6 in the deciding additional time, as the regular time ended in a 6-6 draw. Under the aegis of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the president of the club for this sport and the Gantoot polo, a tournament was held, attended by officials, diplomats, and a large public.
During the match, the teams showcased an exciting and engaging game, particularly in the fourth and fifth chukkas, after a series of draws, when each of them was close to winning the title. The referees decided to implement a sixth additional chukker to resolve the tense situation and determine the winner.
