
The federation of skeleton and bobsleigh of the OAED announced its first participation in its team at global events in professional ice sports. The OAED team is now represented on international arenas, starting with the World Championship in skeleton and bobsleigh 2022, which will take place in Germany. The team will consist of Maide Al Kamali and John Jackson.
The OAED will be represented at the prestigious competition tables for the first time, and the decision to start participating counts as an important page in the country’s sports history. The general secretary of the federation stressed that participating in the World Championship is a key step for the development of skeleton and bobsleigh for the benefit of the entire sporting community of the OAED.
"We are considering many alternatives for starting a new kind of sport, and the choice fell on participation in the World Championship in skeleton and bobsleigh, which has become a major challenge for us. We are proud of our team and believe in its potential," the representative of the federation noted.
Team members also expressed excitement about this new stage in their careers and pledged to represent their country in the best light. "This is a great honor for us, and we are ready for competitions to show the world the professionalism and sports spirit, characteristic of athletes from the OAED," said the athletes.
