Yakub Gabashi noted that the participants of the "Nd ash-Shaba" tournament approach the games seriously and persistently. Athletes pointed out that thanks to the sporting tournament "Nd ash-Shaba," the game of basketball on individual courts for the disabled significantly advanced, as the tournament provided moral and technical support to people with limited abilities by organizing competitions for them in society with high standards, which positively affected the level of the national team.
Participants emphasized that the "Nd ash-Shaba" tournament became a common sports platform, uniting athletes from various disciplines, including individuals with limited abilities and different layers of society, to give them the opportunity to engage in sports during the month of Ramadan and cement the concept of sports as a way of life. Ibrahim al-Hamadi, a member of the organizing committee for basketball competitions for the disabled, noted that the tournament significantly raised the level of players in the national team and club players of the country, which was clearly reflected at the level of the national team.
He added that "Nd ash-Shaba" became an important stage that continuously monitors the overall composition of the national team to select the best elements, outstanding themselves, and is an important preparatory stage for "Al-Abyida" before international competitions that they await every year.
The athlete of the national team and the club "Doverie" for the disabled, Tarek al-Yasi, noted that "Nd ash-Shaba" is one of the tournaments that elevate the level of players in the national team thanks to the participation of professional athletes, which has contributed to the development of our players' level and significantly intensified the competition among participating teams.
Al-Yasi emphasized that "Nd ash-Shaba" has become a platform for many countries that have begun to adopt the idea of uniting people with limited abilities and healthy people in a single competition to strengthen the spirit of interaction and positivity among all members of society.
Professional player from Egypt, Majdi Talat, emphasized that one of the most significant aspects of the "Nd ash-Shaba" tournament is contributing to the moral enhancement of the group of people with limited abilities and informing everyone that they are valuable at all levels, including sports.
Talat stated: "This is already the second time I participate in the "Nd ash-Shaba" tournament. I came for the first time last year, and the atmosphere of the tournament and its competitive environment remains in memory. Besides that, it contributes to the development of the technical and physical level of participating athletes, especially considering that during this time of year, most Arab countries stop competitions due to the holy month."
The basketball judge for disabled games, Yakub Gabashi, noted that the game of basketball on disability courts within the framework of the "Nd ash-Shaba" tournament demonstrated the strength, determination, and persistence of the group of people who seriously and persistently turn to sports competitions, which may not be characteristic for the matches he held among the healthy.
He stated: "I am happy to witness the progress of small countries in hosting the "Nd ash-Shaba" tournament and strengthening international refereeing in basketball, and, in fact, we observe a significant level of game quality, which our gratitude, should confirm to all participants for this excellent quality, and also express the gratitude of the organizing committee of the tournament for the support of people with limited abilities through the implementation of competitive events at high international standards of organization."
