Abu Dhabi Team Honored at Monaco Event

The International Marine Sports Federation honored Abu Dhabi's speedboat team for their achievements. Rashid Al-Mulla and Rashid Al-Qamzi were recognized for their world title wins.


Abu Dhabi Team Honored at Monaco Event

During the annual ceremony held in Monaco yesterday, the International Union of Marine Sports highlighted the achievements of the Abu Dhabi team’s champions in watercraft racing. The sporting successes of the team at world championships were noted.

At the ceremony, the athlete Rashid Al-Mulla was recognized, having already won the world championship in watercraft racing six times in the FreeStyle class in the 2024 season, as well as the athlete Rashid Al-Kamzi, a five-time world champion in the catamaran racing class Formula 2 in the 2024 season.

At the ceremony, Nasser Al-Zahiri, representative of the Abu Dhabi club management for marine sports, expressed pride in this recognition. He noted that these achievements reflect the position of the emirate's marine sports on the global arena, with high receiving uninterrupted support, which sporting teams receive from wise leadership.

He also expressed gratitude to Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, President of the Federation of Marine Sports, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi club management for marine sports, for the support of marine sports and their strengthening at the global level.
