Challenges Await UAE National Team Coach

The new head coach of the national team, Roman Olario Kozmin, faces many main challenges in the near future, including stabilizing the team composition and bringing back excluded players. Now, Kozmin needs to restore the identity of the team and its character, and also earn the trust of fans after being shaken in the period of the previous coach, Portuguese Paulo Bento, due to poor results. Another challenge is the short interim period between when he takes over the 'national team' and the end of his current season with Shardja.

Key tasks ahead of Kozmin include presenting opportunities for players who have recently shown themselves in their clubs, such as goalkeeper Shardji Adil Al-Hosani, as well as goalkeeper from Bani Yas Fakhreddeen Az-Dhankh. Additionally, it is important for Kozmin himself to choose his players, observing them in club games, instead of relying on those who do not appear to be key players in their teams in the league, as the previous coach Bento did. It is also required to conduct friendly matches with strong squads to check the strengths of his players before important games.

Football commentator Omar Al-Hamadi said: 'The national team is able to qualify for the World Cup with Kozmin, either directly or through playoffs, but before the new coach, there are challenges such as the return of excluded players from the previous squad, such as Ali Saleh and Shaheen Abdulrahman, as well as the need to give chances to emerging players to become part of the squad, not limited only to individual footballers.'
