The head coach of the football club "Al-Vasl" Ahmed ash-Shafar confirmed that Serbian striker Milos Milojevic remains in his position until the end of the contract. He noted that the team has returned to its natural level, on which it performed last season, after experiencing high pressure from participating in the championships.

"We will not hesitate to participate again in the Asian Champions League, especially since we have a coach like Milos and players with such a setup," he emphasized.

"Al-Vasl" secured a victory over "Shabab Al-Ahli" with a score of 2:1 and barely missed out on being the leader of the championship with the possibility of winning the title in the match at the Zabeel Stadium last Saturday.

Ash-Shafar stated: "The fans of 'Al-Vasl' deserve joy. The team returned to form in 2024 after the completion of the match series and focus on the championship. We played an excellent game, competing for the third place in the tournament table despite the strength of 'Shabab Al-Ahli', which could likely become the champion."

Regarding "Al-Vasl's" desire to participate in the Asian Champions League next season, Ahmed ash-Shafar said: "I do not blame the team in case of qualification. If you have versatile players and a coach like Milos, then the team is capable of presenting itself in Asia again and demonstrating the expected level."

As for the continuation of coach Milos's work at "Al-Vasl", ash-Shafar shared: "Milos' contract is valid until the end of the next season. If something new arises, it will come at the end of the season after the tournament finishes and receiving reports on the players. This is what we know in the directors' council, and there have been no discussions otherwise."
