Rashidi, a sportswoman of the national track and field team for individuals with limited abilities, has secured 609 medals throughout her career, starting in 2005. She is seeking a new challenge and the first step in another sport, through the tournament "Phasea Shatry" in badminton, currently taking place in Dubai. 150 athletes from 30 countries are participating in the competitions. "Participation in the 'Phasea Shatry' badminton tournament is a new challenge and an opportunity to gain experience from major competitions, aimed at achieving new results for the sport for individuals with limited abilities, after a long journey in track and field, during which I have won 609 different medals at local, regional, and international levels," Rashidi said. She added: "The events 'Phasea Shatry', in which I have participated for 16 years, help me develop skills and achieve success, as they are key stages in the international calendar of paralympic committees, which award qualification points for the Olympic Games. I consider badminton, in which I competed last year, a platform for new personal challenges, with the hope of gaining experience that would allow me to appear on the podiums in the future." Rashidi acquired valuable experience in the 'Phasea Shatry' competitions in track and field and hopes to replicate it in badminton, participating in the national competitions. She noted that the current version of the forum represents the largest world-class classified athletes and is part of the team preparation ahead of the upcoming Asian Championship next month, which offers qualification points to improve the ranking positions of the players. Regardless of the junior parallel, which did not prevent Rashidi from starting her sports career at a Dubai club for individuals with limited abilities supported by family in 2005, she has become a role model for Emirati women in achievements and success. The award "Mother of Emiratis" in 2015 in the outstanding sportswoman nomination is a bright example. Today, the qualifying matches for the tournament at the Forum, held in Dubai, will start, where the finalists will be determined. The previous stage already showed the defeat of the national player Jamala al-Badua from the Korean champion Seo Chzhan, as well as the continuation of the successful play of the Korean Li Johnsu and the Indian Sukanta Kadama.
