The Professional Triathletes Organization and the World Triathlon Corporation have announced the final list of participants for the professional men's and women's competitions in the 'Dubai T100 Triathlon', scheduled for November 15th, with the support of the Dubai Sports Council and the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism. The event is the penultimate stop of the 'T100 Triathlon World Series' before the final in Qatar this December. The list features 48 athletes, currently the best in the world in triathlon, with 20 men and 18 women. Leading the men's division is New Zealander Hayden Wilde, who has had a perfect season this year, winning all six stages held in Singapore, London, the French Riviera, Spain, and Wollongong. He is followed by Belgian Jelle Geens, the Vancouver champion, in second place, and German Mika Noodt in third. In the women's division, British Kate Waite, who currently tops the overall rankings after winning in Singapore and Wollongong, faces strong competition from her compatriot Lucy Charles Barclay, who holds the second position. The 'Dubai T100 Triathlon' is part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge '30×30'. The race starts from Jumeirah Beach 3, passes through the Meydan Racecourse, and finishes in front of the Burj Khalifa. The weekend's events include amateur races such as a sprint, an amateur T100 triathlon over 100 kilometers, and a fun 5-kilometer music run, all taking place on November 15th.
