Ahmed Saeed bin Mishtar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dubai International Marine Sports Club, announced the launch of the first edition of the 'Internal Excellence' award. The award aims to promote a culture of excellence within government entities, celebrate exceptional individuals, and foster a positive work environment to continue the journey of outstanding achievement and creativity. The announcement was made during the club's fifth board meeting of 2025, attended by Vice President Saeed Al Suwaidi and other members. The meeting reviewed a report on the sporting events of the current season, highlighting the sailing races for the 22-foot and 43-foot classes, which featured high levels of competition, diverse winners, and updated technical standards that enhanced safety while preserving the traditional nature of the races. The board was also briefed on the upcoming sports events organized by the club, emphasizing its role in contributing to the sports sector and supporting youth to adopt a healthier, more active, and happier lifestyle. The board directed the provision of all necessary support for the 'Victory' team, which is preparing for the fourth round of the 'Formula 1' World Championship for Powerboats, to be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, from November 27 to 29. The team aims to maintain its lead in both individual and team standings and remain strong contenders for the championship title this season.
