UAE Youth Team Announces Goalkeepers for World Cup

The technical staff of the UAE's national youth football team has announced the goalkeepers who will represent the country in the upcoming FIFA U-17 World Cup, scheduled to take place in Qatar starting November 3rd. The selected players are: Jasem Abdullah (Al Jazira), Saeed Ali (Al Sharjah), and Mubarak Ahmed (Al Jazira).

According to Yousuf Al Zaabi, a member of the national team's technical staff and goalkeeping coach, "the selections were based on several key factors. Foremost among them is technical stability, as these three goalkeepers have been consistent starters for several matches. Additionally, they have demonstrated a high technical level, both with the national team and in domestic competitions. We also valued the required cohesion they have shown with their teammates, especially in the defensive and midfield lines."

Al Zaabi added: "All three goalkeepers possess high technical and mental skills, and they have a promising future in goalkeeping, whether with their clubs or national teams in the future. They are key players for their clubs, delivering outstanding performances. We are pleased that their club administrations have provided them with strong support and an ideal environment for their development, along with family backing. The families of some of them include former goalkeepers, which has helped us boost their morale, in addition to honing their technical abilities."

It is worth noting that the UAE's national youth team will play in the World Cup group stage, where they will kick off their campaign against Costa Rica on November 3rd. Other teams in the group include Croatia and Senegal.
