The United Arab Emirates U-17 national team departed today for the Qatari capital, Doha, to participate in the finals of the U-17 World Cup, taking place from November 3 to 27. The team will play in Group C, which includes Croatia, Senegal, and Costa Rica. The official squad list for the U-17 World Cup, according to the tournament regulations, consists of 21 players: Jasim Abdullah, Mubarak Al Breiki, Saeed Al Rashidi (goalkeepers); Ahmed El Iqrami, Saad Mubarak, Suhail Al Nuaimi, Fahad Khalil, Salem Eisa (defenders); Abdullah Rashid, Faisal Mohammed, Mohammed Saeed, Jamal Mohammed, Ibrahim Yousuf, Abdullah Manad, Essa Al Balushi, Jaden Adebayo, Abdullah Hatem (midfielders); Mayed Adel, Ali Al Jasmi, Mohammed Al Saadi, Mahmoud Badr (forwards). Members of the Football Association's board of directors met with the players, coaching, and administrative staff of the national U-17 team at the association's headquarters in Dubai in preparation for their trip. During the meeting, Obaid Salem Al Shamsi, the second vice president of the association, urged the players to benefit from the experiences gained during domestic and international training camps and friendly matches, and to exert maximum effort to present the best possible performance in their quest to advance to the next stage of the World Cup. At the same time, he affirmed everyone's confidence in the players' abilities and talents, and their belief in the team's capacity to achieve positive results that will please the football fans of the UAE. The 'Whites' U-17 team will begin its Group C campaign with a match against Costa Rica on November 3, then face the Croatian team on November 6, and conclude the group stage with a match against Senegal on November 9. It is worth noting that our U-17 team played two friendly matches against Mali and Bolivia during a domestic training camp that concluded the day before yesterday, drawing both matches 1-1.
