Abdulrahman, a player for the UAE national team and Al-Jazeera's youth squad, aspires to follow in the footsteps of his uncle, former national team player Saed Al-Kas, and become a high-quality international player alongside his cousin, Al-Sharjah and Olympic team player Mayed Al-Kas. His father encourages him to excel and become a permanent member of the national teams. Abdulrahman, 16, plays for the (born in 2009) team that will participate in the upcoming Asian qualifiers. He excels as a central defender, standing at 172 cm tall, which allows him to effectively handle aerial balls both defensively and offensively during corner kicks. He dreams of becoming a standout player in this skill and hopes to one day represent the 'White' (national team) at the World Championship and shine in his position. Abdulrahman takes pride in the fact that one of his headers against the Iraqi youth team in the recent Gulf Cup in Qatar secured a clean-sheet victory and led the 'Little White' team to the semi-finals. Abdulrahman Al-Kas told 'Al-Ittihad': 'My dream is to be an exceptional football player while completing my university studies, so I am keen to balance both aspects to achieve my ambition and also enhance the sporting reputation of the Al-Kas family, known for its excellence in football.' He continued: 'My family supports my ambitions, and I am happy about that. The family ensures all the necessities for success, including proper nutrition for athletes. My father provides me with continuous advice, as does my uncle, the former international Saed Al-Kas. All of this confirms that training, playing matches with high focus and discipline, and meticulously applying coaches' instructions pave the way to developing a good player capable of progressing.' He also stated that he aspires to be one of the best players skilled at heading the ball, whether in defense or during set pieces. In turn, Waleed Al-Kas, the player's father, said: 'I am pleased that he is committed to proper nutrition, sleep, prayer, and his family life, and is dedicated to his sport. He stays in contact with my brother Saed and his son Mayed to benefit from their experience. I constantly encourage him to become a distinguished international player and make sure to attend his matches and communicate with my brother Saed to support him.'
