Spanish coach Pep Guardiola celebrated his 1000th match with all the clubs he has coached with a perfect 3-0 victory over Liverpool, the title holders, at the United Stadium. The goals were scored by Norwegian star Erling Haaland, Nico Gonzalez, and the creative Jeremy Doku. After the match, Guardiola hugged Liverpool's Egyptian star Mohamed Salah and revealed the secret to stopping him. Guardiola said that as soon as Salah had the ball, three players would immediately surround him to deny him the opportunity to attack. Guardiola also stated that there is no tougher test for a right-back than facing Mohamed Salah. He was a nightmare for us in past years and always punished us. He described Salah as an exceptional player.
