The Emirates Equestrian and Racing Federation has approved the participation of female athletes in tent pegging competitions, paving the way for the formation of a women's team to participate in local and international tournaments. According to a statement issued yesterday, the distinguished participation of female riders, Sheikha Mubarak Al Mansoori and Mairah Al Khazraji, in the events of the new season at Bu Zayid village in Abu Dhabi and the Dubai International Endurance City, opens the door for many female riders to emerge in the coming period. In turn, the Secretary-General of the Federation, Dr. Ghanem Mohammed Al Hajri, confirmed the Federation's commitment to all development programs to empower women with competitive skills and provide a suitable environment for practicing equestrian sports. He added that women receive significant attention within the Federation, which contributes to supporting the leading role of the UAE in promoting all programs that consolidate the prestigious status of Emirati women in all fields.
