UAE National Bowling Delegation Departs for Deaflympics in Tokyo

Yesterday, the national bowling delegation for the deaf departed for the Japanese capital, Tokyo, to participate in the Deaflympics, which will be held from November 15 to 26. The delegation is headed by Abdullah Ahli, Chairman of the UAE Deaf Sports Committee, and includes the technical and administrative staff consisting of Shaker Ali, Khaled Mohammed Al Ali, Hamad Al-Darmaki, and sign language interpreter Abdullah Al-Jabaini. The delegation is represented by the athletes: Ayman Al-Maqbali, Tariq Shehab, Adnan Muallimi, Adnan Al-Jabri, Ali Al-Jaber, and Walid Ridwan. Abdullah Ahli, Chairman of the UAE Deaf Sports Committee, stated in media comments that participation in Tokyo is the fruit of a long effort and preparation that the athletes undertook with high spirits. In turn, Secretary-General of the UAE National Paralympic Committee, Zubyan Al-Mahiri, expressed his wishes for the delegation to achieve honorable results at this 'Olympic' event, confirming that the participation of deaf athletes in this global event embodies the continuous attention and care of the leadership for people of determination in various sports fields.
