Our national Muay Thai team has won 3 medals at the sixth Islamic Solidarity Games, currently being held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh. This raises the UAE's total medal count to 11, consisting of 2 gold, 1 silver, and 8 bronze. Muhammad Marzi won the gold medal in the 65–70 kg category, defeating the Saudi player Amer Al-Anzi in the final. Zainab Bou Hammada won a silver medal in the 50–55 kg category after a tough fight against the Turkish athlete Gulistan Turan. Meanwhile, Elias Habib won a bronze medal in the 75–80 kg category in his match against the Afghan athlete Said Hamid Sadat. His Excellency Abdullah Saeed Al-Niyadi, Vice President of the International Federation, President of the Asian and Arab Muay Thai Federations, and President of the UAE Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation, praised the remarkable performance of the national team, reflecting the growing development of this sport at the continental and international levels, thanks to the wise leadership. He stated that the achievements of our athletes at this major Islamic sporting event are the result of the federation's systematic work and ambition, as well as the high commitment and competitive spirit of the players in all their matches.
