Organized by the Dubai International Marine Sports Club on Saturday, the event was a great success with wide participation, as all 64 participating boats successfully completed the race from the start to the finish line. The competition was fierce, with very close margins among the boats. Second place went to the «Taf 9» boat, owned by Mohammed Rashid Al Remeithi and skippered by Yousuf Ahmed Al Hamadi, while the «Zufar 125» boat, with owner and skipper Mohammed Abdullah Al Marzouki, secured third place. The award ceremony was attended by Khalid bin Desmal, a member of the Dubai International Marine Sports Club's board of directors, and Mohammed Al Marri, Director of the Sports Affairs Department. Khalid bin Desmal congratulated the top finishers, thanked all participants and the organizations supporting the club's sporting events, and said: «The second round of the 60-foot sailing boat race is part of a comprehensive calendar of events for various categories and sea races, through which we strive to translate the wise leadership's directives to support the community and provide opportunities for them to follow in the footsteps of this type of sailing, showcasing their abilities and creativity. We witnessed this during the course of this race, which was distinguished on all technical and competitive levels.» Mohammed Al Marri praised the efforts and performance of all participants, noting the race's swift pace and the skill and professionalism of the skippers, who were committed to safety instructions. He said: «The 60-foot sailing boat race, for the second time, offered one of the most competitive atmospheres in the waters of Dubai, following the success of the first round held two weeks ago. Participants focused on improving their digital times and learning from the previous course experience, which reflected in the increased pace of this race and the significant closeness of the standings until the finish line.»
