The United Arab Emirates handball team has qualified for the semi-finals of the Islamic Solidarity Games, currently being held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh. The team defeated Iran 28-25 yesterday in the final match of the group stage. Separately, a meeting was held between the UAE Handball Federation and its Egyptian counterpart on the sidelines of the tournament to discuss the final clauses of the cooperation protocol between the two sides. The meeting focused on strengthening Arab cooperation in the sports field.
