Osama Ahmed Shafar, former member of the Federal National Council of the UAE, President of the Asian Cycling Confederation, and former President of the UAE Cycling Federation, has passed away following an accident that occurred abroad.
Shafar led the UAE Cycling Federation for eight years. During his tenure, the sport saw significant growth in terms of results, hosting events, and nurturing talent. He then continued his continental career as President of the Asian Cycling Confederation, becoming one of the most influential and prominent leaders in cycling at both regional and international levels.
