Bani Yas Coach Comments on Victory Over Sharjah

Romanian coach Daniel Isaila of Bani Yas stated that his team achieved an important 4-1 victory over a big club like Sharjah, which he described as a 'wounded lion', yesterday in the eighth round of the ADNOC Pro League. Bani Yas' goals were scored by Cameroonian Lionel Jovovi (3', 37'), Nigerian Saviour Godwin (60'), and Frenchman Youssouf Niakaté (78'). For Sharjah, the Brazilian Igor Coronado scored (86').

Sharjah's coach, Abdulmajid Annar, who took over from the dismissed Serbian coach Milosh, said: "The 4-1 loss was unexpected, and I apologize to the club's fans.. The ball is now in the players' court to correct the course, because they have a great responsibility."

Isaila added at a post-match press conference: "It is essential that the team continues with the same performance and spirit in the upcoming matches, as the journey is still long."

A following commentator remarked: "It's impossible for Sharjah to change its coach and achieve a result in three days, as Sharjah's coach Abdulmajid Annar needed more time."
