UAE's renowned football referee retires from field duties

Football referee Hamad Ali Yusuf has decided to retire as a field referee after a long career spanning nearly 20 years. He will continue as a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) in local competitions for the upcoming phase. Hamad Ali Yusuf's journey began in 2005, and he earned his international badge in 2015, which he relinquished in 2019 to continue his career domestically. Previously, for refereeing numerous important and sensitive matches, Hamad Ali Yusuf was named the Best Referee on multiple occasions.
