Al Ain Football Club announced that its first-team goalkeeper, Khalid Eisa, has suffered a hamstring injury during the team's match against Al Jazira in the eighth round of the ADNOC Professional League. The club stated in an official statement that the international goalkeeper will undergo a special rehabilitation program under the medical staff's supervision, paving the way for his return to group training as soon as possible, without specifying his actual period of absence. The leader concluded its statement wishing Khalid Eisa a speedy recovery and a quick return to the pitch to continue his brilliance and protect the goal this season. It is worth noting that Khalid Esa (35 years old) is one of the most prominent goalkeepers and one of the mainstays of the UAE national team over the past years. Following Eisa's injury, the national team's technical staff decided to exclude him from the 'Al-Abda' squad participating in the 2025 Arab Cup, to be held in Qatar from December 1 to 18, and called up Al Sharjah goalkeeper Adel Al-Hosni as his replacement.
