The statistics center «OPTA» has released a list revealing the national teams' chances of winning the 2026 World Cup. The list is topped by the Spanish national team, coached by Luis de la Fuente, who led his team to win Euro 2024. Spain has a 17% chance of winning. France, the 2018 world champion, is second on the list with a 14.1% probability. England ranks third with an 11.8% chance. Argentina, the current world champion, is fourth with an 8.7% chance. Germany is fifth with a 7.1% chance. Portugal is sixth with 6.6%, followed by Brazil in seventh place with 5.6%, and the Netherlands in eighth with 5.2%. Spain, the 2010 world champion, won 5 out of 6 qualifying matches, which also strengthened its position in the rankings.
