Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, Liverpool's forward and Premier League champion, shared a photo on his Instagram of him training alone in the club's gym after his teammates traveled to face Inter Milan.
Coach Arne Slot, after Hungarian striker Dominik Szoboszlai scored the winning goal against Inter Milan, left the door open for his striker's return on the condition that Salah admits his mistake.
The photo, which came days after Salah's fiery interview following his third consecutive start on the bench against Leeds United, received thousands of likes, including from Salah's former teammates Jordan Henderson and Trent Alexander-Arnold, as well as 17,000 comments and 2,319 reposts.
