The UAE para-athletes' medal count has risen to 8, consisting of one gold, one silver, and six bronze medals, following the penultimate day of the Asian Youth Para Games currently held in Dubai. Approximately 1,500 athletes from 35 nations are participating in the event. The UAE team added seven new medals to their tally, following the inaugural bronze medal won by Thani Al Shehi in table tennis (T3 category). The new medals include a gold for Hamid Al Baloush in discus throw and a silver in javelin throw. Matar Al Katbi secured a bronze in javelin throw, while Mansur Ali Al Qasab claimed bronze in powerlifting (80 kg category) in his first appearance. Additionally, Abdullah Al Jillani won bronze in powerlifting (97 kg). In swimming, the UAE team earned two bronze medals in the 400m freestyle events, with Yousuf Al Marr and Muhsin Al Jabri securing the podium finishes. In men's wheelchair basketball, Iran claimed the gold medal, Japan took silver, and Thailand won bronze.
