The President of the International Modern Pentathlon Union, Rob Stull, expressed his admiration for the great development that modern pentathlon has witnessed in the UAE despite the novelty of its experience. He confirmed that the participation of the UAE team in the World Championship held in South Africa, with the presence of 1800 players and players, is a qualitative leap in the journey of this sport. Stull's statements came on the sidelines of his meeting with Dr. Huda Al-Matroushi, President of the UAE Modern Pentathlon Union, during the World Championship events, as the Union President expressed his aspiration for more future participations to build a strong generation of Emirati players. On her part, Al-Matroushi confirmed that the UAE Union seeks to develop the game locally and internationally, pointing to the increasing interest from sports officials and fans, saying: "We have a good base that can be built upon for a promising future for Emirati modern pentathlon." She added that "cooperation with the International Union will yield future achievements that include referees, coaches, and all elements of the game, pointing to the Union's desire to host world events to enhance players' experiences." She also noted the UAE team's first-time participation in the championship with 6 players: Hamdan Hamad Al-Kaabi, Muhammad Khaled Al-Kaabi, Said Omar Al-Kaabi (under 9 years old), and Ziyab Omar Al-Kaabi, Salem Tamim Al-Kaabi, and Hamid Said Al-Kaabi (under 13 years old), under the supervision of coach Muhammad Qasem Khalil, to gain experience and compete at international levels. Al-Matroushi concluded her meeting with the International Union President by emphasizing her passion for the future of modern pentathlon in the UAE, looking forward to more cooperation and successes in coordination with the International Union and international partners.
