The fourth evening of the Dubai Carnival racing season, organized by the Dubai Racing Club at the Meydan Racecourse, featured the Dubai Principal race. The event, sponsored by Nakheel, offered a total prize money of AED 1.96 million and saw 122 horses from the elite local and international fields compete.

The evening kicked off with the Majani Stakes for purebred Arabian horses in Class 2, with a prize fund of AED 300,000. The winner was the horse 'Wazir' from the Ajmal stables, trained by Musbah Al Mahiri and ridden by jockey Tag O'Shea.

The highlight was the sixth race, the Dubai Principal, for thoroughbred crossbreds in the 'handicap' category over 1200 meters. 'Drooz Gold' from the RRR Racing team, trained by Bob Batters and ridden by Tag O'Shea, claimed victory with a time of 1 minute 11.68 seconds, finishing 6.82 lengths ahead of the second-place horse 'Echo Point'.

In other results, the 'Burj Al Beach' race on the turf over 1800 meters was won by 'Sword Seaver' (Martin's Racing & Dylan Cunha). In the third race, 'Palm Central' over 1200 meters, 'Mazahem' (Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Hamid Al Nuaimi) was victorious. The fourth race, 'Al Qudra Palm' for novices, was won by 'Power For Power' (owner Abubakr Akdora, trained by Bob Batters, ridden by Sylvester de Sousa). The fifth race, 'Nakheel', over 1600 meters, was won by 'Zandvoort' (Abubakr Akdora, trained by Bob Batters, ridden by Richard Mullen).

The seventh race, 'Naya Residences', over 1200 meters on turf, was won by 'Yatakad' (Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum). In the eighth race, 'Como Residences' over 1600 meters, the colt 'Devon Island' from the Godolphin team, trained by Charlie Appleby and ridden by James Doyle, took the title. The final race, 'Jumeirah Palm', over 1800 meters on turf, was won by 'Native American' (Wathanan Racing).
