The UAE Judo Federation, led by Mohammed bin Thaloub Al-Dhaheri, has received a congratulatory message from Marius Vizer, President of the International Judo Federation (IJF), on the occasion of the end of 2025 and the advent of 2026. This message comes after a successful season filled with achievements, organizational and technical progress, and a confident outlook on future challenges through investing in the opportunities that lie ahead for continental federations. Furthermore, the IJF has invited the UAE Judo Federation to participate in the 'Grand Slam' tournament in Switzerland, which for the first time will host one of the IJF's major tour stops in Lausanne from August 28 to 30, 2026. Following this, the federation will return to Baku, Azerbaijan, in October to attend the upcoming World Championships, before the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam on October 29.
