Al-Wasl concluded their group stage campaign in the AFC Champions League 2 with a morale-boosting 2-1 victory over Al-Wehdat, securing their place in the Round of 16 without suffering any defeat, confirming their technical stability and ability to compete at the continental level. Al-Sinani told «Al-Ittihad»: «Al-Wasl's victory over Al-Wehdat came at the right time before the next rounds, the team delivered a great performance and achieved the desired objective». Addressing the team's recent poor run, which lasted seven matches without a win in all competitions before overcoming Al-Wehdat, Al-Sinani said: «It's natural for any team to go through a period where results are not good, but the team is giving everything they have, and we always try to stick to the coach's instructions to return to winning ways».
