Aston Villa's sporting director, Damian Vidagany, has expressed dissatisfaction with the club's fixture schedule in the Premier League. The schedule forces the team to play two away matches in four days, while wealthy clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Liverpool play two home games in the same period. Vidagany, a close ally of manager Unai Emery, tweeted before the team's big match against league leaders Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday: 'I fully understand the manager's anger. There is no explanation for why the Premier League brought a match from the second half of the season before the 19th round.' A win in this match would have allowed Villa to share top spot with Arsenal.
