Al Jazira and Al Nasr Secure Wins in ADNOC Pro League Matchday 11

Al Jazira defeated Al Khaleej 3-2, while Al Nasr beat Bani Yas 2-1 in the 11th round of the ADNOC Pro League. Both teams delivered excellent performances and strengthened their positions in the league table.


Al Jazira and Al Nasr Secure Wins in ADNOC Pro League Matchday 11

Al Jazira secured a valuable away victory over Al Khaleej with a 3-2 score on Friday, in the 11th round of the ADNOC Pro League. With this win, Al Jazira temporarily moved up to 7th place, raising their point total to 15, while Al Khaleej's points remained at 11, placing them 10th. Al Jazira took the lead after a defensive error by Al Khaleej's Abdullah Al Rifa'i, who attempted to clear a cross from Khalil Ibrahim but accidentally put the ball into his own net (19). Ahmed Jashk equalized for Al Khaleej, receiving the ball on the edge of the penalty area and striking it with his left foot into the net (25). At the start of the second half, Mohamed Al Khawari restored Al Jazira's lead (47), after receiving a cross inside the box and calmly slotting it past the defense. Ryan extended Al Jazira's lead with a brilliant strike that found the bottom right corner (84), before Loren reduced the deficit for Al Khaleej from a penalty, but it wasn't enough to turn the game around (88). Al Nasr maintained their positive run of results in the ADNOC Pro League by defeating their host Bani Yas 2-1 at Al-Shamkha Stadium, in the 11th round of the competition. Jonas Santos opened the scoring for Al Nasr with a solo effort from midfield, finishing with a strike that nestled in the right side of the net (18). Bani Yas leveled the score seven minutes later, thanks to a magical pass from Savio Godin to Al-Hassan Koroma, who deposited the ball into the net. The excitement continued in the 31st minute, which saw Al Nasr regain the lead through Ramon Miez, who expertly headed in a cross from Mahdi Qaidi (31). Before the end of the first half, Bani Yas was awarded a penalty following a VAR review, but Shukurov's spot-kick was saved by Abdullah Al Tamimi (45+10). Bani Yas's problems continued in the second half when their player Lionel Wamba received a straight red card for a violent tackle, forcing his team to play with ten men from the 53rd minute. Al Nasr increased their point total to 18, moving up to 5th place, while Bani Yas's points remained frozen at 7 in 11th place.
