Balotelli Signs with UAE's Al-Ittifaq

Former Italy and Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli has joined UAE club Al-Ittifaq. The 35-year-old forward has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal, effective from January. This will be the 14th club of his career.

In his 20-year career, Mario Balotelli has never stayed at a single club for more than three years. He has been without a club for the last six months after his contract with Italian side Genoa expired. The 35-year-old former Italy international has now signed a contract with UAE club Al-Ittifaq, which plays in the First Division (Amateur League). The forward, who earned 36 caps for Italy, has already joined his new teammates, but the contract officially begins on January 12. Al-Ittifaq was founded in Dubai in 2020 and also competes in the First Division. According to reports, this will be the 14th club in the career of the former Manchester City, Milan, Inter, Genoa, and Nice striker, and the contract is for two and a half years.
