Al-Nasr Coach Confirms Goals for Dubai Tournament

The head coach of the basketball team at Al-Nasr Club, Egyptian Hossam El-Wakeel, confirmed that promoting young players and giving them the opportunity to compete with the elite clubs and teams of the Asian and African continents is one of the primary goals for "Al-Meida's" participation in the 35th Dubai International Basketball Championship. The tournament will be held at Al-Nasr Club's hall from January 23rd to February 1st. El-Wakeel told "Al-Ittihad": "The presence of four key players from our team in the national squad, along with the long league break during which Al-Nasr reached the semi-finals, gives us an ideal opportunity to use the strength of the Dubai international matches to develop our young players, which will positively reflect on having an effective bench when the local league resumes." He added: "Al-Nasr will compete in Group B alongside Tunisian Club Africain, Libyan Al-Ahly Tripoli, and Syrian Al-Karamah. We look forward to achieving several gains through these matches, including enhancing team cohesion, especially with our recent signings of foreign professionals."
