Her Highness Sheikha Maitha bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktum led the 'UAE' team to a victory over the 'Bangash' team with a score of 11-10, during the second round of the 2026 Dubai Silver Cup Polo Championship. The tournament is currently being held on the polo and equestrian fields of the Habtoor Polo & Resort Club, with the participation of 5 teams and a 20-goal handicap, marking the first event in the current season's series of Dubai Gold Cups. With this win, the 'UAE' team regained its balance, with four teams now having one win each, reflecting the strength and competitiveness of the tournament. In the second match of the same round, the 'Dubai Wolves' team, led by Habtoor Habtoor, secured their victory against the 'Jahangir' team with a score of 7-6. The tournament will continue next Saturday, where the 'UAE' team will face 'Jahangir', and the 'Habtoor' team will play against 'Bangash'. The Dubai Silver Cup is held concurrently with the UAE Polo Cup, in which 10 teams are participating, including some of the teams from the Silver Cup, such as 'UAE' and 'Jahangir'.
