This morning in Dubai, the second edition of the Fazza Cup for 400-meter falconry races concluded. The event was held at Al-Habbeh Racecourse, part of the Hamdan bin Mohammed Centre for Heritage. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum honored the winners in three categories: Seniors, General Owners (Closed Class), and General Owners (Open Class). The competitions featured six heats, showcasing advanced technical skills and fierce competition among participants. The ceremony was attended by the Secretary-General of the International Federation for Falconry and the Secretary-General of the UAE Falcons Association, Rashid bin Markhan, among other dignitaries. His Highness listened to a detailed briefing from Rashid bin Markhan on the event's key features, qualification system, and the growing interest in its second edition, which saw remarkable improvements in performance and results. In a joyful and celebratory atmosphere, His Highness awarded the winners, reflecting the distinguished status of falconry as a traditional sport that enjoys the leadership's keen support and continues to reach new heights. Following the competitions, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum addressed the falconers, affirming that the Fazza Cup continues its successful run in its second edition, setting new records and achieving significant progress. He also emphasized that the tournament is held in recognition of the pivotal role of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoumd, Crown Prince of Dubai, in supporting this sport and elevating all its aspects, following the directives of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoumd. At the end of the event, His Highness took a commemorative photo with the winners. In turn, Rashid bin Markhan expressed his gratitude for His Highness's honor in attending the second edition of the cup, his close follow-up of the competitions, and his congratulations to the winners. He added that the directives of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoumd, along with the follow-up of Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad bin Hamad Al Nahyan, were instrumental in the tournament's success. Khalifa bin Jarren, manager of the F3 Falcons racing team, expressed his pride in winning the Fazza Cup and securing first and third places in the Seniors category (Jir Shahin and Jir Tabah) after a strong competition. The total prize money amounted to AED 2,800,000. In the first heat for Seniors (Pure Jir and Karmousha), F3-S team won with falcon G41, clocking 16.121 seconds. Second place went to Nif-J team with falcon js11 at 16.256 seconds, and third to Nif team with falcon NF75 at 16.372 seconds. In the second heat for Seniors (Jir Shahin and Jir Tabah), F3 team also secured first place with falcon 75 at 16.310 seconds. F3-S took second with falcon S35 at 16.325 seconds, and F3 secured third with falcon 266 at 16.577 seconds. In the first heat for General Open (Pure Jir and Karmousha Falcons), Hamdan Isa Khalfan Harbash won with his falcon 'Lam Tara' at 16.897 seconds. Second place went to the Maydan team with falcon B19 at 17.109 seconds, and third to the Dubai team with falcon 'Mushrif 4' at 17.163 seconds. In the second heat for General Open (Jir Shahin and Jir Tabah Falcons), Abdullah Khalfan Butai Salem Al Qasimi won with his falcon 'Masaur' at 16.301 seconds. He also secured third place with his falcon 'Mabhar' at 16.872 seconds, while the Dubai team took second with falcon R16 at 16.819 seconds. In the third heat for General Owners (Pure Jir and Karmousha Falcons), Abdullah Naser Salem Al Mansouri won with his falcon 'Tashreef' at 17.511 seconds. Second place went to Ahmed Ali bin Hamouda with falcon 69 at 17.561 seconds, and third to Juma Abdullah Mohammed Ahmed Al Falahi with falcon AW at 17.610 seconds. In the fourth heat for General Owners (Jir Shahin and Jir Tabah Falcons), Hamad Ali Hamad Al Hafri Al Katibbi won with his falcon 'Nasmi' at 17.488 seconds. Second place went to Mohammed Khalfan Mohammed Ali Al Mansouri with falcon S09 at 17.499 seconds, and third to Ahmed Ateek Mohammed Ali bin Hindee Al Mahiri with falcon S56 at 17.636 seconds.
