Ajmad Al-Sayed, goalkeeper of Al-Dhafra, stated that his team's results in the first round of the Pro League are not a stroke of luck, but were achieved through hard work and discipline. He indicated that his team will continue to deliver the same outstanding performances in the second round to establish itself as a "dark horse" in the league championship. In an interview with "Al-Ittihad Al-Youm", Al-Sayed said that Al-Dhafra benefited greatly from the difficult matches it played during the first round, especially away from home, and those encounters contributed to building the team's character and providing it with escalating experience that reflected on its performance and results. He added: "We went through matches where we were not at our best, but we learned a lot from them, and we became more aware of how to manage games, especially at the start of halves, after we previously suffered from conceding early goals." He pointed out that the team has become more cohesive and organized, even during periods when it is not at its best, saying: "We are in seventh place with 16 points, and we still have a lot to offer, and we will prove to everyone that what Al-Dhafra achieved in 13 matches was not a fluke or a stroke of luck." He continued: "Al-Dhafra succeeded in the league because it focused only on hard work and discipline in training and during matches, and did not build its future on dreams or uncalculated impulses, but relied on realism and focus in every match. We set a primary goal from the beginning of the season, which is to be in safe zones, without suffering from the ghost of relegation, and I believe that we are moving step by step towards achieving this goal this season." Regarding his assessment of the league's goalkeepers in the first round, Ajmad Al-Sayed said: "The UAE league has the strongest goalkeepers in the region, which is a distinct strength for the competition in general, and the evidence for this was what happened in the last round of the league, as the goalkeepers had a clear impact on the results." He continued: "My advice to every goalkeeper is to focus more on easy balls than on difficult ones, because such easy goals, if they end up in his net, will bear him the responsibility for negative results, as everyone does not remember the difficult saves the goalkeeper made, but only hold on to simple mistakes." Al-Dhafra's goalkeeper: My shouts are not excessive nerves Ajmad Al-Sayed confirmed that nervousness has become a clear trait in his personality on the pitch, but it does not go beyond the leadership role he plays as a goalkeeper. He added: "Pressure and emotion are sometimes essential factors in maintaining the team's focus." He said: "By nature, I am a goalkeeper who does not calm down on the field, and I am always in a state of continuous communication with the players, I shout, warn, and direct, and this may sometimes be understood as excessive nervousness, but in reality, it stems from my concern for the team and my fear of any moment of decline or loss of focus." He added: "The goalkeeper's position imposes on its owner a strong personality and constant mental presence, the goalkeeper is the first to see mistakes and the last line of defense, and therefore any leniency or excessive calm could cost the team dearly, and I believe that the goalkeeper must always be alert to his teammates, even if it seems harsh sometimes, because football does not forgive, and a simple mistake can change the course of the match completely."
