Mohamed Ibrahim Al-Hamadi of Al-Urooba FC has captured attention in the UAE First Division League with his outstanding performances during the first round. His form has placed him among the league's top players after 13 rounds. Al-Hamadi leads the league's top domestic scorers with seven goals and sits third in the overall scoring charts, having scored five goals in five consecutive matches. The 27-year-old Al-Hamadi previously played for Al-Dhafra, Hatta, and Dibba in the Pro League. He takes pride in being part of Al-Dhafra's squad for the President's Cup final against Shabab Al-Ahli in the 2018-2019 season, describing it as a highlight of his career. In an interview with Al Ittihad, Al-Hamadi said: "I was close to joining the national team in the past, but I suffered a severe anterior cruciate ligament injury that took a long time to recover from. My current goal is to work hard and perform exceptionally to earn a call-up to the 'White' (the national team)." He pointed out that there is a prevailing view among the national team's coaching staff and committee against calling up players from the First Division League, even if they are exceptional, which could cost him this opportunity. Al-Hamadi added: "I hope the UAE Football Association and the national team coach, Romanian Răzvan Lucescu, will monitor some important matches in the First Division League. I feel highly confident that I will be called up, even if it's within a wide player pool." He affirmed that this step would be a significant boost for both local and expatriate players. "I believe a dedicated player is not to blame for not playing in the Pro League and missing the chance to represent the national team," he said, hoping this issue can be addressed, especially given the talented players in this division. Al-Hamadi mentioned his playing career with Al-Dhafra, Hatta, Dibba, and Al-Uroba in both the Pro League and First Division, expressing pride in all these experiences. However, his greatest pride came from playing for Dibba, where he had just returned from injury and received the support of the club's chairman, Salem bin Hwaidan. He noted that he learned a lot from Serbian coach Vuk Rađović while at Al-Dhafra, as well as from coaches Dr. Abdullah Misfer, Mohamed Abed Al-Khadim, Suleiman Haji Balushi, and Ionuț Contra. Al-Hamadi explained that he plays as a classic striker, with a style close to that of Shabab Al-Ahli's Sultan Adal, which allows him to excel at scoring from half-chances. He is convinced that a confident striker can score even with limited opportunities, a concept that has greatly aided his career.
