Champions League: Knockout Stage Qualifiers

The group stage of this season's UEFA Champions League is nearing its conclusion, with the qualifiers for the knockout stages being determined. So far, the first 7 rounds of the group stage have been played, with the remaining matches of the 8th and final round scheduled for Wednesday. After the group stage, which consists of 8 rounds, the top 8 teams qualify directly for the round of 16. Teams finishing in 9th to 24th place will enter a two-legged playoff, from which 8 teams advance to the round of 16. With teams from 6th to 13th place currently tied on 13 points each, here is the tie-breaking procedure to be used if two or more teams are level on points at the end of the group stage: goal difference; goals scored; away goals scored; number of wins; away wins; points obtained by opponents in the group stage; goal difference of opponents in the group stage; goals scored by opponents in the group stage; fair play; club coefficient ranking.
