Sports analyst Spite Khater stated that the competition for the title in the Professional League this season is largely confined to two teams: Al Ahli and Al Ain. Khater explained that 'Dubai's Knights' face a dual challenge due to their participation in multiple tournaments, such as the AFC Champions League and the President's Cup. In contrast, Al Ain focuses more on the league, along with its qualification for the final of the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup and the semi-final of the President's Cup, giving it an advantage and a better opportunity to concentrate on local matches. Khater added that since the beginning of the second half of the season, the picture has become clearer, and it is evident that teams that maintained technical stability and avoided coaching changes have better chances to compete, while teams that made recent changes, like Al Wahda and Al Wasl, face significant difficulties in adapting and achieving the required continuity throughout the season. He pointed out that the current situation for other teams imposes technical and physical challenges, especially with the pressure of consecutive matches and potential player injuries, which makes maintaining a consistent level difficult amidst the fierce competition between Al Ahli and Al Ain. Khater continued: 'Al Ahli possesses a strong squad of both starters and substitutes, which gives it a great advantage, while Al Ain focuses more on the league and benefits from long experience in dealing with the pressures of competition and tight match schedules. Both teams show a high degree of tactical discipline and organization on the field, which makes any stumble for either of them directly impact the league standings.' He added: 'The direct confrontation between Al Ain and Al Ahli will be the most important indicator to determine the gap at the top, especially as the following matches for each team could be against teams trying to prove themselves against the champions. Therefore, any dropped points could make a big difference in the course of the competition.' Khater clarified that Al Ain's fanbase follows the league closely, analyzing performance with numbers and logic. They are a very aware audience that knows any lost points could affect the team's chances. He mentioned some 'The Leader's' fans' views on the difficulty of competing with Al Ahli and the need for the team to focus without wasting any points in upcoming matches.
