In the ninth and final decisive round, the defending champion of the 2025 edition, International Grandmaster Ahmed Adly, secured first place with 8 points after his victory. This year's edition saw wide participation from citizens, residents, and guests of the country in the tournament, which the club organizes annually during the month of Ramadan as an appreciation and recognition for the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The tournament concluded after the ninth round with a ceremony held in the hall of Sheikh Saeed bin Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum at the Dubai Chess and Cultural Club. International Grandmaster Ahmed Adly from Egypt was crowned with the cup of the Zayed Loyalty Chess Championship 2026 in its 22nd edition, which saw the participation of 170 players from 23 countries.
