It is heartening to hear the opinions of players and coaches, both from abroad and residing in the country, as they speak with sincere admiration about the holy month of Ramadan in the UAE. I followed this through direct interviews during their participation in the current Ramadan tournaments and through others who spoke via the media. The wonderful thing is that the Muslim players among them did not hide their appreciation for the support provided by the sports organizations hosting the competitions. Some came on professional contracts, while others sought a different experience, but they all agree that the spiritual atmosphere here is high and unique in every detail, with many even describing it as the best they have experienced compared to their home countries.
