Successful three-pointers by national team star and Al Ahli Youth winger Omar Al-Amri ('Amori'), who scored 21 points from these shots, led his team to a 110-93 victory over host Al-Nasr, taking sole possession of the top spot. The match, held the day before yesterday, was part of the third and final round of the first leg of the league's semi-final playoff. This round also saw Al-Sharjah secure its first win by defeating host Al-Bataih 107-83.

Three-pointers played a crucial role in Al Ahli Youth's victory, as the team's players made 14 successful shots (42 points), half of which were scored by 'Amori', along with four by his teammate Hamed Abdulatif, and one each from players Qais Omar and Americans DeShondre Washington and Gregory Brew. Al Ahli Youth finished the first round with a perfect record and six points from three wins, while Al-Nasr's first loss dropped it to second place with five points, one point behind third-placed Al-Sharjah, and Al-Bataih maintained fourth place with three points.

To secure their win, Al Ahli Youth needed its players to dominate the first and second quarters with scores of 29-19 and 34-24, while Al-Nasr failed to mount a comeback despite outscoring in the third and fourth quarters 26-25 and 24-22.

In turn, Al-Bataih squandered a chance to finish the first quarter leading 28-24, as Al-Sharjah managed to turn the tide in its favor with superior play in the second and third quarters, and then the fourth, with scores of 29-17, 27-15, and 27-25.
