The Handball Union held the draw for cup tournaments across various age groups (seniors, youth, juniors, cadets, and minors) for the 2025-2026 sports season two days ago. The ceremony took place in the theater hall of the UAE Olympic Committee Building, attended by the union's technical expert, Engineer Asim Al-Sadani, and representatives of clubs. The draw began with the draw for the Nation's Cup for men, featuring seven clubs. The competitions will kick off on April 28. The reigning champion, Sharjah, has advanced directly to the semi-finals, awaiting the winner of the preliminary round match between Al-Nasr and Milaha. Additionally, Al-Wasl will face Al-Zayed, and Dibba Al-Hisn will face Shabab Al-Ahli. The winners of these matches will meet in the semi-finals scheduled for May 2. In the UAE Cup for youth, starting on April 6 with nine clubs, Al-Zayed will face Al-Nasr in the preliminary round. The quarter-final draw paired Sharjah against Shabab Al-Ahli, Al-Bataieh against Dibba Al-Hisn, Kalba against Milaha, and Al-Wasl against the winner of the preliminary round. For the UAE Cup for juniors, beginning on April 20 with 10 teams, the quarter-finalists include Shabab Al-Ahli (reigning champion), Sharjah (league champions), Al-Wasl, Al-Nasr, Khorfakkan, and Al-Bataieh. The preliminary round features Al-Madam against Al-Ain and Al-Jazira against Kalba. In the quarter-finals, Shabab Al-Ahli will play Al-Wasl, the winner of Al-Madam vs. Al-Ain will face Al-Nasr, Khorfakkan will play the winner of Al-Jazira vs. Kalba, and Al-Bataieh will face Sharjah. In the UAE Cup for cadets, starting on April 5 with 16 clubs, the preliminary round produced exciting matchups, including Sharjah B against Shabab Al-Ahli and Al-Jazira against Milaha. Other matches include Al-Bataieh against Al-Dhafra, Al-Wahda against Al-Ain, Khorfakkan against Al-Zayed, Dibba Al-Hisn against Kalba, Al-Madam against Al-Nasr, and Al-Wasl against Sharjah A. The tournament will be played in a knockout format. In the UAE Cup for minors, starting on April 29 with 17 teams, there will be one preliminary match between Al-Dhafra and Kalba. The most notable 1/16 final match is between the reigning champion Sharjah A and Sharjah B. Other matches in this round include Al-Ain against the preliminary round winner, Al-Jazira against Khorfakkan, Al-Wasl against Al-Zayed, Al-Bataieh against Al-Wahda, Milaha against Al-Nasr, Bani Yas against Shabab Al-Ahli, and Dibba Al-Hisn against Al-Madam.
