Emirati international referee Omar Al Ali, whom FIFA selected to be part of the refereeing teams for the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico next June, has confirmed his continued preparation for the global event through a special program developed earlier during the initial selection of refereeing teams. In a statement to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) after refereeing a match for Al Wahda, Al Ali explained that he began his preparation about two years ago by watching numerous matches, attending courses, and specialized workshops. He noted that preparations will continue until the start of the global event to represent Emirati sports with distinction.
