Portuguese international Bernardo Silva will leave Manchester City at the end of the season after nine years with the club, as announced by the Premier League football giant on Thursday. The 31-year-old playmaker joined City in 2017 and has since played 450 matches for the team of Spanish manager Pep Guardiola, winning 19 major titles, including six league titles and one Champions League title. During his time at Manchester City, Silva has scored 76 goals and provided 77 assists. Silva recently entered the top ten for most appearances in Manchester City's history, surpassing several prominent former names, including Spanish David Silva, Paul Power, and Scottish Willie Donaghy. The club statement read: "Manchester City confirms that Bernardo Silva will be leaving the club this summer," adding, "Bernardo will now focus on trying to ensure his remaining time at City ends with more titles, as Pep Guardiola's team continues to compete strongly for the Premier League and FA Cup." Silva confirmed his departure from Old Trafford via his Instagram page, writing: "In a few months' time, it will be time to say goodbye to the city where we not only achieved a lot as a football club but where I also started my married life and my family. From the bottom of my heart, Inês and Carlota, thank you!".
