The Minister of Sports of the OAE and President of the Union of School and University Education, Doctor Ahmed bin Hol al-Flasi, attended the opening ceremony of the OAE Championship in archery among students. During the event, which took place on the territory of the Emirates Club, the minister emphasized the importance of supporting sports among youth and the country's obligation to develop this area.
He also expressed gratitude to the organizers of the competition for holding the event and noted that similar events contribute not only to the development of participants' physical skills but also to the fostering of a friendly sports atmosphere among schoolchildren and students.
"Sports has great significance in the lives of youth, teaching discipline, perseverance, and striving to achieve goals. Supporting such competitions and events fosters young athletes and contributes to their development as individuals. We take pride in the sporting achievements of our students and are always ready to support them," emphasized Doctor Ahmed bin Khalil al-Flasi.
