The football player of the youth team "Al-Ahli" Rickarlison Ernandes expressed his joy regarding the transfer to "Fursan Dubai" in the current season, noting that he has bigger ambitions, including winning multiple tournaments. He emphasized that the leadership of the team in the Professional League of the UAE does not mean anything, and added that the fight for the title is not limited to "Al-Ahli" and "Sharjah."
The player, who moved from the Brazilian "Cuiabá" to "Al-Ahli" during last summer's transfer window, told "Emirates Today" that it was not difficult for him to join "Fursan Dubai," given that the club is well-known in Brazil. He noted: "Al-Ahli has many Brazilian players, both newcomers and those who joined earlier, so I found it easy to adapt."
Ernandes added that it was easy for him to integrate into the new team, saying: "As I already mentioned, there are many Brazilians in the team, and this made me not feel like an outsider, and also the Emirates is a wonderful place to live, suitable for all nationalities."
Evaluating the initial results of "Al-Ahli" in the current season, the footballer stated: "I believe we are continuing to move in the right direction, especially considering that the team has achieved positive results in the league, the President's Cup. The same applies to the Islamic Bank Cup of Abu Dhabi and the Asian Champions League."
Responding to a question about the competition between "Al-Ahli" and "Sharjah" in the championship, the footballer said: "Both teams have shown the best results in the tournament, but I believe that the fight for the title is not limited only between them, as the season is long, and many strong matches await us."
The 21-year-old Brazilian player emphasized that the training staff of "Al-Ahli" does not focus on the results of the super league, noting: "We are seriously preparing for every match, diligently studying all the super teams; our task is to perform the best game, maintain the victory. The training group emphasizes the importance of not just focusing solely on ourselves, but also not paying attention to the results of the super teams."
Ernandes concluded his comments by thanking the "Al-Ahli" fans for their support and promised to perform well together with the team, fighting for victory in all competitions.
